There are similar grips available for the Canon 1D range (1DmkIII onwards), 5DmkIII and 7D. However the wording on the page you linked (and other similar Canon material) states, under "Compatible EOS Camera", that "The Canon EOS Remote app requires the use of a Canon EOS camera with built-in WiFi®" 1. And then lists only the Canon 6D.
Thanks, but page 163 (as least my copy and the only copy) only shows a diagram showing how to attached the camera to a computer with a USB cord and doesn't say anything about the camera settings. So let me try and understand what Raysis is saying. If I'm out in the field, miles away from any wifi, my camera will blue tooth to my phone and I will have a local wifi connection between the two devices.
