Note the IP will eventually change - it could take days or months - which will cause this connection problem. If notepad says the file couldn't be opened, back in the command prompt, enter the following line, which will create the file with the line already added:

Connection Issues . Was in a Ranked PvP match and everyone stopped moving, couldn't type in chat. Guild Wars 2 MMORPG Role-playing video game MMO Gaming comments

The latency for the connection for all other IPs while playing are around 10 while this one sits at around 270-300. I have sent this information to Support but they are continuing to give me "Google answers", as in stuff that can be found searching google with "Guild Wars 2 connection issues".
If I translate it correctly it says something like that: "Guild Wars 2 is unable to connect to the Login Server" Same problem. code=58:11:2:1064:101

So i ran into an odd situation today where i wasnt able to join the squad members i was a part of (picture below shows what i mean, the button is just gone.) Prior to that image being taken, the commander and a few others left the map to do something and when they came back they got thrown into separate instances, despite being in a squad.

A friend of mine had an issue similar to this, support said it could be AVG's firewall. Uninstalled AVG, still had the problem. Uninstalled some other random shit (mostly adware) that was installed recently and it worked fine without any issues. Yes, if you use a Steam-based account, you cannot sign into the game unless the game is started by the Steam client. There might be a way to make a shortcut that starts the Steam client and tells it to launch a specific game, but you can't start the game directly or it will run as the standalone version and won't have the connection to Steam that it needs to authenticate your account.
Experienced the same thing today. I'm on the Windows Insider Fast ring and updated to build 20150.1000. The connection issue began immediately after. Back to normal and able to connect after having rolling back to build 19645.1.
Lowering this setting to 'medium' or 'low' will often clear up connection issues. Guild Wars 2 requires TCP ports 80, 443, and 6112 to be fully unrestricted and accessible—both inbound and outbound. This is especially Happening if you are living in a crowded area with a lot of People using w-lan. So when your router is changing the "subchannel" he is disconnecting for a short while and reconnecting afterwards. This also caused massive Problems with the Television router for me. McAfee for example was a problem years ago and would crash GW2. As a potential workaround, you could try using Gw2Launcher, which can run its own patch server. At the very least, it'll either show what GW2 is downloading or show nothing because GW2 can't connect at all (blocked).

Account & Technical Support. EU connectivity issues. Hi, in the last week or so I've got several lag spikes (from 40ms to 3500-4000ms ping for several minutes), lasting something between half an hour and two hours, mostly in the evening.Since I'm not the only one reporting this, are there any known issues with GW2 servers routing recently reported?

To do a clean boot, follow the instructions for your operating system below. Windows 8 and 10. Windows XP, Vista, and 7. Open the Start menu by pressing the Windows key. Type MSCONFIG to start a search. The first and only result should be the System Configuration app. Click on the app to launch the System Configuration Utility. There are two types of issues I've seen: Click the character, and get the map loading screen. maploadinfo shows the map is 100% loaded, but the wait time just keeps increasing, over 100 seconds usually before it loads. I had to click the character icon and nothing happens.

Hello everyone, As the title says, my friend is experiencing constant disconnects in GW2, the game is literally unplayable for him. I want him to play with me, but he loses nerves with this every time and he's beginning to give up. We tried changing DNS, flushing DNS, restarting modem, re-downloading the game, fiddling with command lines etc

Ever since Heart of Thorns was announced the game attracted a whole bunch of new players (Good choice!) but this also meant a higher load for the servers and more importantly the route to them. .
